What’s So Special About It?

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

When you open an online Store, it’s really important that your product pages contain lots of good (unique) content about your products.  Not only is it good SEO-wise, but it also shows that you have an expertise in your field.  The more you know about what you’re selling, the more confidence it can give your visitors to purchase from your site.

One of the easy ways that you can display that information is through bulleted lists.

  • It allows you to show special features about your products in an easy to read format.
  • Normally, to get those bullets to show, you would need to know some HTML coding, but our coding takes that part out of the picture and makes it easy for you!
  • All you have to do is put your points into a line-by-line format and the bullet points will be added beside those points automatically. :)

Check out our Bulleted Lists feature today!! :)

SEO Tip: Propely name your Images

Friday, March 5th, 2010

Sometimes in SEO, it pays off to be proactive and foreword thinking, not purely reactionary.  It pays to be the leader, not the follower.  How does this relate to naming images?  Well as of right now, the consensus is that naming you images accordingly doesn’t have a significant, if any, increase in SEO results… but it could in the future.

Why do we say this?  Well why not?  Google indexes text/ data, as well as images to make them relevant.  Whats to stop them from combining them in the future?  Not only that, but properly naming you images will help you in organization.

So how do you properly name an image? Good question and as of right now, there is not “perfect” answer but the same holds true as with all things, make it relevant.  If your image is of a golf putter you are selling, whay have it named “putt0234img.jpg” when it could be named “golf-putter-01.jpg”?  Clearly its obvious what the last image is, and if its this obvious to you, why wouldnt it be to the search engines?

Be proactive, think outside the box.  Even if 1 of 4 things you try works, that’s 1 thing more than your competitor.

Reoccurring SEO Matters by C7

Thursday, February 11th, 2010

For those of you heard me babble, you hear me say creditability, making a quality mark with Google, keep it fresh, reoccurring is key! and many things more I say… well i feel like I have some back up to that now for all my followers to see:

Matt Cutts of Google. He states, “In order to prevent things from becoming stale, we tend to use the current link graph, rather than a link graph of all of time.”

Keep it going… one month just ant going to cut it, even after 6 months you still need to prove to Google your creditability and that you the webmaster/ website are here to win it in the Search Engine Land!

So I guess that does mean C7 inst selling, she is just telling it how she knows it. >> keep your monthly seo package, stick with your plan, and never look back!
