Showcase Your Expertise with Social Media

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010

If your company is in a niche market, you can present yourself as an expert in that field using social media to your benefit.  Use Blogs, message boards and forums on a regular basis. Don’t constantly promote yourself and your company, relay useful information about the topic at hand.

If you’re able to give good advice, people trust your opinion and look to you for answers. Once this happens, you won’t need to market yourself or your business as much because you will have already done that in a positive way.

If you don’t have the staff or the time to utilize blogs, message boards and forums regularly, hire a SMO expert to help.

SMO Tip

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

Social Media Optimization is referred to as SMO. Most people immediately think of Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc.. when they hear social media – but don’t forget about the more conventional sites such as Sphinn, StumbleUpon and Digg.

Social Media Networks are just that – SOCIAL. In order to even make your presence felt by others – you need to add a bit of personality to your profile. Don’t use a generic avatar, or worse yet, have no avatar at all. If you don’t want a personal photo of yourself on these sites at least choose something memorable. Make connections with fellow Diggers or Stumblers and invite them to join your network. This one tip alone will really push you towards success.
